Righteousness has many facets all of them good. Jesus said “Only God is good!” One of the facets of God’s goodness is Justice. I am sure many people forget this when they ignore God and attack Christians (His people) and even attack God himself. But why is justice so important to us personally?
The Bible says that we have all sinned and fallen short of God’s standard which is stated in God’s law.
If we break the law of the land we have to appear in court and face the justice of the law administered by a Judge or a Magistrate.
How much more can we expect if we have to face God’s justice administered by the Judge of the whole world Himself.
So, what can we expect and is there a way to escape the justice of God?
Yes, we can expect a fair trial, but and here is the big but, we all know that we are guilty of ignoring God and His law and following our own way.
Therefore we should all be honest with ourselves and admit that of ourselves we have no Hope.
God’s justice will lead us to a place without God Where there is pain and regret and no relief, ever, known as Hell.
But God in His mercy offers all people a free gift, and that is eternal life in His Son The Lord Jesus Christ. Who actually took your punishment himself on the cross, so the justice you deserve has been laid on God’s Son.
The apostle Paul says that actually God is near to everybody and all we have to do is turn around and face Him. In the Bible this is called repentance, many people think repentance means to stop sinning and be good, no it means turning your allegiance to God and trusting in His son for your salvation.
Surely the time to do this is now. Remember the prayer of the man who was justified “Lord have mercy on me, a sinner.” He went to his home justified, forgiven, saved.
Pray that prayer to our Lord Jesus Christ now and He will forgive you and save you from the justice of God straight away.
Jesus said “He who comes to Me, I will in no wise cast out”.
